MESSAGE FROM THE HONORABLE FRANCK DIONGO
NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE "PROGRESSIVE LUMUMBISTE MOVEMENT"
ON THE OCCASION OF THE 57TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPEDANCE
OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Very Dear Compatriots,
We are preparing to commemorate the 57th anniversary of our independence; But for all Congolese worthy of the name, the heart is not at the party. Indeed, the deleterious atmosphere prevailing in the country brings us back to the question repeatedly raised, and which is whether 57 years after the proclamation of Congo's independence we are truly free and prosperous, Wished the worthy Daughters and Sons of this country who struggled, some to the supreme sacrifice, to free us from the Belgian colonial yoke?
All patriots know that our country today is still under the domination of the forces of evil. At present, these negative forces are challenging the very existence of our nation. These enemies of the Congolese people and of its independence are recruited both outside and inside the country. Some are sponsors who finance, with the resources plundered in the Congo, plans for the annihilation of our nation; The others are local relays, some of which are recruited from among our own countrymen, who at the price of a few bank notes sell their souls to the devil while the country is in the most indescribable chaos.
It is these powers that you will probably see in celebration, hastening to commemorate a day of sovereignty that they have nevertheless emptied of all its content by their duplicity and / or irresponsibility known to all. They can rejoice because they think that their macabre work of annihilation of the Congo is in the phase of succeeding. They can also rejoice for a few American dollars that they have pocketed on the backs of our populations for the work of undermining to the detriment of the Congo and its people.
Very dear compatriots,
This June 30, 2017 falls while the whole country is in mourning.
In Kasai we cry. These are the same tears that sink in Beni, Butembo, Kisangani, Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Matadi and everywhere else in the country. Innocent populations are massacred, raped, slaughtered, gutted, decapitated .... For all help, however, they are entitled only to speeches of good intentions and the sterile gesticulations of a political class shared between, on the one hand, duplicity, corruption and impotence, and on the other A hypocritical and disengaged international community.
Thus militias created from scratch by the gravediggers of the Republic can with impunity continue to sow terror. The aim is to continue the plundering of the country's resources and to silence all nationalists engaged in the struggle for an effectively independent Congo.
Very Dear Compatriots,
Patrice Emery Lumumba teaches us that "independence is not a gift, but it tears itself away". Every girl and every son of this country must make an appointment with History. It is precisely to engage and take ownership of the all-out struggle that must be waged for the true emancipation of the Congo. It is a struggle, in the first place, against the obscurantism which consists in particular of constantly embracing the enemy through its multiple Trojans. God alone knows how numerous these treaties are on our borders and in foreign governments and international institutions.

Our country is at war against the many lusts carried on its immense wealth. Militias are pillaged, killed and maintained to maintain insecurity, to muzzle freedoms in order to fish in turbid water on the ground and in the subsoil of the great Congo. However, it is not difficult to identify the perpetrators of these abuses which have caused and continue to cause so much suffering to the Congolese people. It is enough to answer the question of "who benefits from the crime?". It is against these enemies that the people must rise as one man to defend their rights. This is the necessary way if we really want to build a more beautiful and prosperous country than the Congo has been until now. Only the struggle is free!
Very dear compatriots,
As People, we are the owners of sovereignty. As such, we have no choice but to take charge of ourselves in order to put an end to the detriment of all the internal and external forces which for some years have undertaken to reduce Congo to a land without a master Exploit its wealth outside and to the detriment of the Congolese people. This is what is at stake in our struggle and the major reflection we must take in commemoration of this 57th anniversary of the accession of our country to independence.
Very Dear Compatriots,
There are wolves in the sheepfold. In recent times, their play is sufficiently exposed by contradictions that follow one another in their own camp. In unity and with discernment we are able to win all the necessary victories. Abraham Lincoln said, "You can deceive a part of the people all the time and all the people part of the time, but you can not deceive all the people all the time."
I am personally proud of the determination of our people to get rid of all evil agents, at whatever level and in whatever camp they may be. I do not doubt for a moment that victory is near and certain.
Long live the valiant Congolese people!
